WE coupled with these rangers are really what makes it OP, the WE templates have been around for months but the ED bars just synergize way too well with them. I think if ED gets hit running WE won't happen much or be very effective, except in a very specialized build quite like the pewpew spike build. Having 4 dmg character templates all with dmg skills under 6 second recharges calls for disaster. I thought Izzy learned that after the old ranger pewpew templates, guess not.

True, but at the same time that he tried to nerf the fc mesmers... He introduces a character that would shut down any other means of midline defense.
Introducing revamped elites is a good idea, but messing up the game in the process is a whole other story.

I guess I'm the only one who thought that NOW had the advantage on GL damage.
At 27 minutes, I was yelling at my computer screen; rawr had just wiped NOW, but they were sneaking in a few rezzes. Despite this, all of rawr's damage just seemed to be running in circles in their base, mopping up.
"GET TO THE BASE, POLLY! WHAT R U DOIN?"
I hate to criticize rawr, but they could have easily had two warriors on NOW's GL for at least 10 seconds at the end of the game. I don't see how rawr didn't think it was, at the very least, a close call. If nothing else, they should have sent some damage to NOW's lord, just to make sure. NOW was all but dead; they were getting a few flesh resses, but most of their damage was gone.
Bleh. NOW played a good game with a great spike, but I think rawr should have won.

Byron we could go on for weeks (in fact it probably will go on for weeks regardless) of how we could have won that match, but the reality of the fact is that for every one thing we could have done to make us win, NOW could have done something else to make them win by more.
So let's save ourselves a lot of stress and be satisfied with how it happened, because let's face it: A lot more people would be upset if rawr's smurf got a gold cape.

In our defense, Pounds actually called that play correctly in the match saying someone should have ran to their base at 27, however as you said, NOW still had a few alive who could res so if both warriors ran off we would have lost regardless.
The correct play would have been for 1 warrior to run at 27 and res, however lack of experience playing these tiebreaker situations plus a bit of panic on my part made this not happen.
Focusing on that however is wrong, I made far greater mistakes in the time leading up to and around the 26 minute mark, that in effect cost us not only some amount of lord damage, but likely have meant we could have killed NOWs lord before 28.
So if your looking for one to blame, then I most definitely lost us that game, due to inexperience with the play around the 26 minute mark, making 3 really poor decisions, however I know what I did wrong, so next time NOW wont get off that easy

Perhaps...
But in retrospect, the basing of NOW's fc mes, which stopped Jaden after 26 minutes was really what gave the match.
I'm more interested in how much you would have sold the smurf for, more than having a team that played a gimmick to get to the finals and get gold trim. rawr winning wouldn't have surprised anyone, and whoever would have bought the guild would have been laughed at, called names, and forgotten about.
NOW had the match won in the first few minutes of the game, but the skill of rawr was best shown greater in that match when they turned a disaster into a match that you really didn't know who was going to win.
<3panda!!!
p.s. @ asp...your predictions were insanely correct...
I look forward to next MAT's predictions Asp Rophet!

Omega spike. *sigh*
Loved Asp's predictions too! Good job on the NOW dark horse prediction, they really were the surprise package this month!
Biggest surprise for me build wise were the necros. Finally in from the cold?

Necros have always been quite popular ever since foul feast got buffed. Pain of disenchantment is just such an amazing skill for that spike build and if you don't shut him down it makes preprot useless.

can someone help me please,
i done my GvG predictions which were
1: whats going on
2: the cape is a lie
3: stealing society
4: brudershaft
5: str8 outta kamadan
6: we want cookies
7: virtual escape
8: pandas world domination
and the results were...
1 we want cookies
2 cape is a lie
3 whats going on
4 brudershaften
5 stealing society
6 straght outta kamadan
7 pandas
8 steel phoenix
so i get 2 points for sup, 5 for cape, 2 for stealing, 5 for bruder, 3 for kamadan, 0 cookies, 0 escape, 3 for pandas.
so thats 20 points total which = 125 tourny points.
i also predicted the 1V1 by have no idea of what i voted for and who won, but i know i got at least 125 from the GvG alone.
i just went to the xunlai agent and i only got 55 tourny points? is this normal? will i get more later? has there been an error and should i email anet?
any help appreciated thanks

Make sure you go back and talk to the xunlai agent one more time. There has been a few times that I have gone back myself and it will give the rest.
Don't be surprised if there is an error. The xunlai agent system they set up is a joke and is always having a problems. If this is the case, your only hope is to contact Anet (which I doubt they will do anything anyhow).
